Watch again – NFU25: Sugar fringe session

18 February 2025, 08:30 – 10:00

Virtual Event

NFU Sugar hosted the first fringe sector session ahead of NFU Conference, looking at how growers are adapting to change at home and abroad. The session is now available to watch again.

In this session, 'Growing for the future – how growers are adapting to new challenges at home and abroad', participants heard a global view of the increasing environmental and social expectations placed on growers, and how these pressures may transform the sugar industry in the years to come.

Over the course of the event, our panel asked what we can, as a collective body of growers, learn from other grower organisations and industries and how they are adapting to these new demands.

What are NFU fringe sessions?

Sector updates were held during the run up to NFU Conference on 25 February.

These virtual events featured a panel of leading industry speakers who discussed themes such as growth, change and business. This means that our full-day Conference in London will be focused on political and policy developments.

The best thing? You can watch or listen to them on the go to fit in with your day on farm.
