North East law firms reappointed to NFU Legal Panel

Two legal firms with well-documented agricultural expertise have been reappointed as the North East representatives on the NFU Legal Panel.

and were reappointed for a further three years following an assessment of their legal services, engagement with the NFU and its members, as well as feedback received.

Detailed understanding

Thanks to their long-standing relationship with NFU members, both companies have a detailed understanding of the issues facing farmers across the region and can provide advice on everything from succession and estate planning, business structures and diversification to renewable energy, employment and dispute resolution, planning and property matters including rights of way, probate, family law and conveyancing.

NFU regional director, Adam Bedford said: “Access to our specialist legal panel is an important benefit for our members and I am delighted that both firms have been reappointed. Both have strong agricultural and rural teams and their expertise is highly valued by our in-house legal team and our local members. We look forward to working closely with them during a time of exceptional change across the industry.”

Proud to be reappointed

Commenting, Amy Clarkson, Head of Agriculture and Landed Estates at Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors said: “We are really pleased and proud to be reappointed again. We have been on the legal panel since May 2008 and enjoy continuing to work with and support the local farming community.
