We are a great team! We are friendly, social and inclusive.
We have a united approach to finding solutions, and share our knowledge, experience and decisions to help each other. We strive to represent the NFU’s core values in everything we do.
We’re proud of the people who work for us and the people who work for us are proud of the NFU. Wherever we are based and whatever our role, we have an unquenchable thirst to be the best we can be, so we remain leaders in our field. But don’t just take our word for it, let your future colleagues do the talking.
You don’t need a farming background to work for the NFU – the enthusiasm and passion for farming rubs off on everyone.
We support all colleagues to reach their full potential
We value all individuals and ideas
We actively seek opportunities to foster diversity
We create a positive environment where everyone can bring their true self to work
I was 22 when I started working for the NFU and have been here for the last 30 years. If it wasn’t a great place to work, then I probably wouldn’t still be here.
We are transparent in our dealings and tell the truth
We set a good example and deliver on our promises
We treat people how we expect to be treated
You get to have some creative freedom, from planning to executing the ideas, and seeing the final image is quite satisfying.
As a dad of two children, the NFU has helped me make the most of shared parental leave which allowed me to spend time at home when my children were first born, beyond the usual two weeks.
It’s great to be able to empower others, particularly group secretaries, by growing their understanding and helping them to represent the NFU.
Somebody somewhere will have the answer for you and will go above and beyond to provide more for you, which I think is a very good quality and indicative of the way that we work here.
We think up new ideas
We put in place new ideas and methods
We have the skills and knowledge to enable us to do our job well
We respond positively and flexibly to change
»Ê¼Ò»ªÈËis supportive and collaborative and offers opportunities to grow.
It’s a fantastic place for young people to grow both personally and professionally.
If you’re willing to go outside your comfort zone, there are endless opportunities to gain experience, knowledge and contacts.
I love what I do. In 2021, I will celebrate my 10th anniversary at the NFU. I think that says a lot.
For us, it’s not just a job, we really believe our work can and it’s making a difference.
We act as one NFU to achieve our goals
We share knowledge, experience and decisions
We celebrate great work
