Job Title: Legal Assistance Scheme Adviser
Salary: c. £45k (Dependant on Skills and Experience)
Location: Stoneleigh, Warwickshire with agile working
Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Sitting with the Legal department, the Legal Assistance team offers financial assistance towards legal and other professional fees incurred by members, and provides professional guidance to them when they are experiencing legal problems. Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:
As a Legal Assistance Scheme Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal and technical guidance to members of our Legal Board. You will manage your own diverse caseload while actively promoting the scheme within your assigned regions or counties. Your responsibilities will include reviewing individual and group applications for assistance and awarding financial support in accordance with the scheme’s rules. You will work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team of four advisers and a manager, overseeing case audits, monitoring progress, and coordinating with NFU Legal Panel Firms to ensure high standards of service delivery.
What you’ll bring:
With 3-5 years’ experience within private practice or an in-house legal department, you’ll be confident providing sound legal advice, and have experience managing caseloads using a case management system. You will have the ability to prioritise your work in an environment with competing demands and have strong communication skills, with the ability to analyse complex legal and technical information. You will be a good listener, empathetic, have a good eye for detail and an understanding of the litigation procedure and SRA requirements.
